Can you believe we made it to the very first edition of Lazy Girl Capital?! I'm hyped to see 200+ of your shining faces in this community. Blessed doesn't even begin to describe it. 🙏🏽

The name Lazy Girl Capital was inspired by this Fortune article on "lazy girl jobs" - you know, careers that let you make bank and actually experience life (what a concept 😜). If you don't have a Fortune subscription, go watch this TikTok one of my founder friends’ Avni recently posted and this one that Dulma did explaining the spiral effect of the girlboss movement.

I wanna help female founders secure funding and feel that sense of ease. Yes, growing a successful business takes major work, but it shouldn't feel like blood, sweat and tears 24/7 (save those fluids for self-care!).

As your resident lazy girl, I'm here to simplify funding so you can protect your energy for the good stuff - loved ones, travel, discovering new passions (not just side hustles 😝). The team is prioritizing supporting pre-seed to Series A HR startups. However, they’re also interested in early-stage ed-tech, climate tech, digital health, and femtech startups. 💼 VC INTERVIEW TIP

Outside of introducing VCs to founders that could fit their thesis or talent for their portfolio companies, keep tabs on what else VCs are asking for support on Twitter, Linkedln, and even TikTok. You never know how your unique perspective could be a value add to them.

I recently introduced a Principal at an early stage health & wellness consumer fund to a speaker for their first founder summit. She was so thankful and was more than happy to hop on a call to offer her advice on VC interviews and share trends she’s keeping tabs. My biggest takeaway was the following negotiation strategy.

NEGOTIATION TIP: asking if you can angel invest in deals the VC is planning on investing in.
